Save The Most Money on Car Insurance Policy ®. Contest begins 12:00am, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on 03/24/2009 and ends 04/30/2009 11:59:59 AM EST. Void where prohibited.

GAME DESCRIPTION:   The contest will run during the month of March from 03/24/2009-04/30/2009.  The top winner with the highest recorded potential savings off their car insurance will win the Grand Prize $2,500.00 cash.  You must use the RateElert service by completing an entire application for car insurance on the RateElert website during the contest period.  One Grand Prize winner will be selected. Also, one First Place $1,0000 winner will be randomly selected for trying out our service by completing an application for a car insurance quote on the RateElert website.  As well as a 2^nd place winner who will win $500.00, and a 3^rd place winner will win $250.00

ELIGIBILITY:  The promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 United States residing in the 50 United States and District of Columbia (Excluding Puerto Rico and all other territories) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of completing an application.  By entering the contest, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless RateElert, LLC, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any and all damages whether direct or indirect, which may be due to or arise out of  participation in the contest or any portion thereof, or the acceptance, use/misuse or possession or prizes.  By participating , you agree to these official rules and to the decisions of RateElert, LLC, whose decisions are final and binding in all respects.  Void in Puerto Rico, all other territories and where prohibited by law, rule or regulation.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.  One entry per person.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Complete all steps on the car insurance application and get a quote from RateElert’s partner agents/companies. You will be matched and/or have the opportunity to get up to 7 different quotes from top-rated insurance companies.
2. After receiving all your quotes report back to RateElert your savings along with a copy of your current policy and the quote you received from the RateElert agent network.
3. Check contest page for updates on the standings.

A potential winner must provide RateElert, LLC with satisfactory proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the potentially winning car insurance application entry.  Applications/Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified.  Applications that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted are void and will not be accepted.  Contestant must provide accurate information such as correct phone #’s, e-mail addresses, vehicles they drive, home address, etc.  Inaccurate applications will be disqualified.  By entering the contest, entrant recognizes and agrees that the registration information provided by entrant will be made available to RateElert, LLC; use of such information will be governed by RateElert, LLC’s privacy policy.

By entering the contest, entrants grant RateElert, LLC the right to use and publish entrant’s proper name online in connection with the contest.   The use of the entrant’s name online in connection with the promotion does not signify that the entrant is a winner in the promotion.  Entering the contest constitutes permission for RateElert, LLC and its affiliates to use entrant’s name, and likeness solely for advertising and promotional purposes as RateElert, LLC so determines without notice of further compensation, except where prohibited by law.  All information collected will be treated in a manner consistent with the RateElert, LLC’s privacy policy.

PRIZE AWARDING:

One prize per person will be awarded.  Prizes will only be awarded upon winner verification and final approval.   No transfer or assignment of prizes permitted, except by RateElert, LLC in its sole discretion, due to prize unavailability for any reason including a minimum application submitted during contest period for prizes to be awarded.  All prizes will be awarded on May 15th.  If the winning contestant’s cannot be contacted; is ineligible; fails to claim the prize; if the prize notification returned undeliverable; or if the potential winner otherwise fails to fully comply with these official rules, he/she will forfeit that prize and an alternative winner will be chosen.  Applicants grant RateElert, LLC the right to use and publish winner’s proper name, state of residence and quotes online in connection with the contest.  All decisions of RateElert, LLC shall be binding and final.

DISQUALIFICATION:  RateElert, LLC is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone, computer, or telephone transmission or technical failure, jumbled or misdirected transmissions, for incorrect or inaccurate entry information howsoever caused or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic.  Applicants found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this contest, as solely determined by the judges, will be disqualified.  In the event this contest is compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, legal reasons or other causes beyond the control of RateElert, LLC which, in the sole opinion of RateElert, LLC, corrupt, or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the promotion, RateElert, LLC reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the contest.  RateElert, reserves the right to award only the number of prizes stated in the official rules for that category. In no event will more prizes be awarded than those listed.

TAX INFORMATION:  All federal, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner.
GENERAL INFORMATION:  This promotion is conducted in English (which will be given its everyday ordinary meaning), and any and all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the state of Michigan, exclusively, and subject to the laws of the state of Michigan.  Should there be a conflict between the laws of the state of Michigan and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the state of Michigan.  Applicants irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non-conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have.
